Here are our precious emerald partners who make our project possible!

Understanding our role in the global struggle for ecology, many initiatives were taken in order to reach our objectives. Here are the actions we have taken in order to reduce the landfill waste:

1. RECYCLING
   1. Installation of sorting islands
   2. Increase of the number of Recycan bin Installation of cardboard collection containers
   3. Special training for our grounds team
   4. Partnership with the Club d’Athlétisme Zénix for the sorting of waste
   5. Partnership with Pneus Touchette to recycle the used race tires
   6. Partnership with Safety Kleen to recycle the used oils, fluids and solvents
   7. Plastic-free (aluminum water and electrolyte drink can)
   8. Composting in partnership with Végécolo
2. THE GREEN SQUAD
   • Presence of a green brigade (Association Language Québec) to help sort residual materials

Here are the actions taken to reduce the impact on greenhouse gases quantities :

1. REFORESTATION
   • A study was carried out to calculate the number of trees to be planted to compensate for the CO2 emissions generated by all of our on-track activities. According to Arbre Evolution calculations, we had to plant 190 trees for effective carbon compensation that will take place over the next 50 years. Arbre Évolution guaranteed the care of these compensatory plants in order to ensure the sustainability of our environmental efforts.
2. BIOCARBURANT
   • Following the evaluation of our GHG emissions, we will use biodiesel in the heavy machinery that will be used to assemble the site
   • We collaborate with Innoltek for our biodiesel needs
   • In 2022, the Urban Challenge Chevrolet series was converted to a petroleum-free synthetic gasoline derived from atmospheric carbon capture and second-generation biofuels distilled from agricultural and forestry residues

In addition to the GreenP3R, GP3R is involved in its community.

• Redistribution of meals to the Escouade Itinérance organization
• More than $80,000 is given to various organizations in the region
• Participation in the social reintegration program of Emploi Québec
• Agreement with several organizations in the region that can raise funds through their involvement in the Grand Prix

VOLUNTEERS

• Carpooling
• Use your bike to come to the site by using the bike park located at the entrance on Papineau Street
• Get the recycling bags available at the volunteer hut
• Recover everything that can be recovered by sorting properly at the source
• Throw clean cardboard into the cardboard containers only and break down the boxes

CUSTOMERS

• Carpooling

• Ask for a bag for your recycling at the campground and dispose of it in the indicated places
